Hannah's version of Fancy Nancy

I love being fancy. My favorite is fushcia. That's fancy word for purple.

Hannah's Story

Once upon a time there was a little girl named Hannah and she had super powers. He powers were tornado, fire, sparkle, and lightning. Her best friend, Madelynn had super powers too. She had the same powers as Hannah. Tornado shot tornadoes. Fire burned stuff. Sparkle made things sparkly and lightning made lightning.

Hannah and Madelynn ran around the playground using their super powers. They used their super powers against the evil boys. Kolby was the most wicked boy of all the playground. He had all the powers. He had ice, fire, tornado, lightning. He didn't have sparkle because it was girly girl. The girls used their powers on kids in the playground that were running.

When they went inside, Madelynn's mom came.

1st Day of School

On Wednesday my Hannah Banana went to her very first day of Kindergarten. She loves it! The funny thing was when she got home that first day, I swear she grew up a year or two. She immediately convinced her brother to teach her how to read.

He obliged by helping her read an alphabet book. She's a funny girl.

She also spontaneously has decided she would like to change her name to Princes.

Watchin for diabetes

Because my oldest son is diabetic, we watch our kids carefully to try and catch it earlier. Hannah was sleepwalking the other night (which Nathan had been doing a little before his diagnosis) so my husband tested her and she was a little high.

I had to bribe her to test the next day and she was normal (on the high end of normal, but normal).

We'll be watching her closely...I'm sure.

Shoes

Ever realize your child is just like you. Today as my Hannah Banana whined in the back seat if she could take her shoes off and I told her she could, I realized she's going to be quite a bit like me.

The last 2 weeks I haven't been able to keep shoes on that girl! Walking barefoot everywhere she can. Riding her bike barefoot, playing outside barefoot.

Reminded me of me. When I was her, I didn't wear shoes all summer. Have a feeling our similarities someday will cause huge fights. I guess only time will tell!

The beginning

Well...I thought since I had created a blog about my oldest son, one about my other son, it was only fair to start one about my daughter.

Right now, I'm not sure who she is. I know that sound kind of funny, I've been her mom for 4.5 years now, but I don't think it is until they start school that I can really see where they personality is going to take them.

My Hannah Banana is a sweety. I know that, but I don't know where her strengths and weaknesses are. I'll know very soon because my baby girl just "graduated" from preschool and will be headed to Kindergarten in the fall!

I'm scared.
